Bed sizes can vary in length, width and depth, including depth of mattress. Some have a head, foot or both, which must be taken into consideration. Even if your bed has been made to measure, however, we should be able to supply you with linen to fit. Use our guide below to find the correct size linen for your bed.

SIZE CHART

COT

A Cot generally measures approx 60 x 120cm (24 x 47inch). The products specifically designed for cots are cot fitted sheets, cot mattress protectors, cot duvets, cot duvet covers.

Some items designed for cot beds can be used in a cot such as cot bed flat sheets, cot bed blankets, cot bed pillows, cot bed pillow protectors. These cot bed items may be a little oversized for a cot, but if you use the measurements below you can determine whether they are suitable for your cot.

COT BED / JUNIOR BED / TODDLER BED

A Cot Bed is also known as a junior bed or a toddler bed.

A Cot Bed is slightly larger than a cot and can be suitable from birth to approximately 5 years old. A cot bed will generally have adjustable or removable sides converting it to a what looks like a bed rather than a cot.

A Cot Bed generally measures approx 70 x 140cm (27 x 55inch). The products specifically designed for cot beds are cot bed fitted sheets, cot bed flat sheets, cot bed mattress protectors, cot bed bedspreads, cot bed blankets, cot bed duvets, cot bed duvet covers, cot bed pillows and cot bed pillow protectors.

2 FOOT 6 INCH BED

A 2ft 6 inch bed is also known as a small Single bed, due to its width of 30 inches (76cm). The products we stock specifically designed for these beds are 2ft 6 inch fitted sheets and 2ft 6 inch valances (See sheet section). We also stock a 2 ft 6 inch luxury mattress protector / 2ft 6 inch waterproof luxury mattress protectors.

Single bed duvets, duvet covers and bedspreads are usually the best size bed linen to use. They will be slightly oversized, but by using the measurements in the Single section you can determine if they are suitable.

If you require a valance for your 2ft 6 inch bed we have the platform base valance available.

• A box pleated platform valance goes under your mattress and down to the floor.

All our valances have a pleat drop of 41cm (16"), this is the distance from the bottom of the mattress down to the floor or the base.

All our valances are box pleated which means they have pleats on the corners and along the sides.

SINGLE BED

A single bed is also known as a 3 foot bed, due to its width of 36inches (91cm). Two single beds are sometimes put side by side to make a Super King bed.

Width Length

• Single bed bedspreads measure approx 193cm x 264cm ( 76" x 104")
• Single bed duvet covers measure approx 137cm x 198cm (54" x 78")
• Single bed duvets measure approx 137cm x 198cm (54" x 78")

The height of the mattress and base varies from bed to bed. The best way to make sure a bedspread will fit as you want it to, is to measure from the floor on one side of the bed to the floor on the other side of the bed (see bedspread section).

All our single bed fitted sheets have different depths, basically the height of the mattress. Just simply measure the depth of the mattress and establish which size you need (see fitted sheet section).

Before choosing a duvet cover it is always best to measure the width and length of your existing duvet. A single duvet should measure 137cm wide x 198cm long (54" x 78") (see duvet cover section) or, if you require a new duvet, see our duvet and pillow section.

Finally, if you require a valance for your Single bed we have two different styles available.

• A box pleated fitted valance goes right over your mattress and down to the floor.
• A box pleated platform valance goes under your mattress and down to the floor.

All our valances have a pleat drop of 41cm (16"), this is the distance from the bottom of the mattress down to the floor or the base. A fitted valance has an extra 18cm (7") to allow for the mattress.
